Treatment of moles

When deformation occurs in the skin layers, the formations that occur especially with the excessive proliferation of cells in some places are called moles. They can be single in number or they can be many. The color tones of moles are very different, it is possible to see them in different color tones, from normal skin color to brown tone. Moles are often attached to the skin surface by a thin stalk or may sometimes sit on a thicker base. Not only is it cosmetic inconvenience, but because repetitive traumas increase the rate of cancerization  of skin moles  one should be careful about this.


 Why do moles occur?


Sun: It is mostly seen on the neck and décolleté areas exposed to the sun.

Hormonal changes: It is more common during pregnancy and menopause.

Obesity: In cases of obesity, it is more common in the groin and neck regions due to friction in the skin folds.

Some systemic diseases: For example, they are more common with diabetes.

 Due to wearing a tie and turtleneck sweater, scarf, more moles are seen due to friction in the neck area.


How are moles treated?


The size of the moles varies depending on which region they are located  and whether they are superficial or deep. While cauterization or superficial laser  is preferred in superficial thin-stemmed moles, in deeper and thick-based moles

radio frequency and minor surgery methods may be preferred.
